Your lesson is likely to start with a briefing explaining sailing theory and how to set-up (rig) the boat before you take to the water. By the end of your lesson you are likely to be sailing the boat together while your instructor supervises and advises from a safety boat! Sailing a boat together requires teamwork and coordination, so this type this of a date can really help you to understand each other better and improve your relationship accordingly.

There are sailing lakes all over the country, and most will be able to provide equipment and private tuition for approximately £40/hr. Alternatively you can do a full day course together. The governing body of sport in the UK is the RYA and you can search for sailing tuition or courses in your area here.
