Bars and clubs – this one’s almost a cliché, but works if you’re after party guys or girls. Personally, I prefer to be able to have a quiet chat with them too…

Coffee shops – if you go when it’s busy you have an excuse to share a table. Get talking about the coffee, what she enjoys and take it from there!

Libraries – a good place for finding intelligent girls. Have a chat about the topic she’s researching, or the books that she enjoys – you never know where it might lead!

Shopping Centres – what do all girls do (stereotypically speaking)? Shopping! Choose your girl, make your move. Perhaps, ask her advice on a purchase you’re making. What could be easier!

Yoga or dance classes at the local sports centre might be a good place to meet a more down to earth sort of girl. Go for groups that are there to have fun – a group of athletes training for the Olympics is likely to be less receptive to dating opportunities!

The Gym – Just go up and say hi. What other sports does she do? What are her goals?
Bear in mind that it’s always easier to break the ice with someone if you already share a common interest – at least that way you’ll have the first topic of conversation sorted. Go and join local groups that interest you – writing groups, evening classes, activities etc.

It’s simple enough really: go to the right places! You know the type of girl you’re interested in, right? Do a bit of thinking and you’ll have no problem finding her. Where would she hang out? Here are a few ideas:
